Short bio

Mehmet Toran is a professor of early childhood education studies at Istanbul Kultur University. He is actively involved in volunteer organizations and fulfils their responsibilities such as acting as an EECERA Turkey Coordinator since 2011 and being a member of World OMEP since 2004. He is also the founder and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Childhood, Education & Society (JCES). His research deals mainly with early childhood education curricula, early childhood education approaches early childhood education policy, poverty and childhood, and critical pedagogy.
