Short bio
Zlatica Jursová Zacharová graduated in Psychology at the Faculty of Arts and in Psychology and German Language Teaching at the Pedagogical Faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava. In 2013 she defended her dissertation "Effective Teaching of English Language in Preschool Age". She works as an associate professor at the Department of Psychology and Pathopsychology, where she teaches Developmental Psychology, Psychology for Teachers, Cognitive Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Crisis Intervention in Schools and Educational and School Psychology. Her research interests include speech competence, bilingualism and psycholinguistics, as well as the impact of digital technologies, online environments and video games on children's cognitive development. The last completed research project was dedicated to supporting the development of narrative competence of children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, especially in the Slovak language, which these children need to successfully cope with school - Learning Together. He is currently working on a project concerning the development of moral competence in primary school pupils.
